- This is the script I use with Arcterm7 to dial Demon Internet Services and
- start up KA9Q (aka !TCPIP). It assumes you'll be using pipea/pipeb to hook
- Arcterm7 to !TCPIP, and is based on the script in the Arcka9q archive.
-
- I had two main problems getting KA9Q up and running:
-
- 1) When Arcterm_7 is re-configured it drops DTR, so you need to configure
- the modem to ignore this or the modem hangs-up. A side-effect of this
- is that you have to manually hang-up at the end of your call.
-
- 2) !TCPIP expects the modem to be on-line and the serial port to be free
- when it starts, so you need to give Arcterm_7 time to re-configure itself
- before you start !TCPIP. It doesn't seem to be able to cope if the modem
- is in command mode rather than online.
-
- Make sure you have PipeModule (ARCbbs_Pipes 0.03) loaded before you start to
- use the pipes.
-
- CAVEAT: This works for me. Nothing else is guaranteed!
-
- I'm using a USR HST DS+ on the internal port of my A440/1, using my version
- of the appripriate modem driver. You may need to add an "ATB0" to force V32bis
- if you're using the standard driver.
-
- !Sprites is a different icon for !TCPIP, just for fun.
